The venerable nominating committees for the 2006 Children's and Young-Adult Bloggers' Literary Awards (Cybils) have completed their work, reading and evaluating 480 books in just 6 weeks.

I'm one of the judges for the Young Adult fiction category, which means I'll be reading those 5 nominees over the next few weeks.
If you find yourself shopping for books in any of the above categories, keep in mind that some pretty smart people chose these Cybils-short-list books as the best of 2006.
