Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."
Eleanor Roosevelt
You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do.
Maya Angelou
History, despite its wrenching pain, cannot be unlived, but if faced with courage, need not be lived again.
L. Frank Baum
"But how about my courage?" asked the Lion anxiously.
"You have plenty of courage, I am sure," answered Oz. "All you need is confidence in yourself. There is no living thing that is not afraid when it faces danger. The True courage is in facing danger when you are afraid, and that kind of courage you have in plenty."

Quote of the Day, 11/02/06: Courage
Today's quotes are about courage. Why? I was looking for "inspiration," and came across this first quote which is one of those "inspirational sayings" you might see on those terrible deep-thoughts pictures. I liked this quote though, as it's a pretty simple but compelling idea. And this quote led me to look for other quotes about courage, including, of course, the Wizard's words to the Cowardly Lion.
