Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leafs a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

A Little Poetry for You (Robert Frost)
From Robert Frost, a poem entitled "Nothing Gold Can Stay." You may remember this as the poem Ponyboy read to Johnny in The Outsiders. Even before I connected the poem to the book and movie, this one made me a little weepy.
