A Little Poetry for You (Ogden Nash)

For Poetry Friday, I went with an old favorite of mine, Ogden Nash. I've posted the first two lines of 6 of his classics. If you click on the last word of each couplet, it will link to a page with the rest of the poem.
Tell me, O Octopus I begs
Is those things arms, or is they
legs?
...
Behold the hippopotamus!
We laugh at how he looks to
us...
...
A mighty creature is the germ,
Though smaller than the
pachyderm.
...
The ostrich roams the great Sahara.
Its mouth is wide, its neck is
narra.
...
The one-L lama, he's a priest
The two-L llama, he's a
beast
...
A panther looks like a leopard
Except that it hasn't been
peppered
