Tanga Puzzles: December 11 - December 17

Note: Tanga is soliciting puzzles. No payment, just fame and glory. But if you're so inclined, click here for details. Deadline is the 20th.

Here are the daily clues for the Tanga puzzles this week. To see the hint, highlight the space to the right of the date.

I don't give away answers here, just a small hint each day to help get you started or past a rough patch. If you want stronger hints, you can check the blog on the Tanga site itself, which is chock full of spoilers.

While I avoid giving away the answers on this page, be warned that there may be spoilers in the comments to this post, so open those with care.

Good luck!

December 11: Shaky start to the week. When is a ____ not a ____? When it's a butter! Ba Dum Bum!

December 12: Why don't you pass the time by playing a little ____?

December 13: Pay attention to the grey box.

December 14: There are only two diet sodas I know of with one-word names.

December 15: The last clue (A.G.A.I.G.) was the one that made this jump for me pretty quickly. Once you figure out what that stands for, you'll get the connection to the map pretty quickly. (I never did figure out the picture on the right, so if someone wants to leave me a comment on that, thanks.)

December 16: It helps if you remember your ABCs.

December 17: I understood this one right away, only none of the words I tried worked. Finally I made the last S sound a hard S, and figured it out.

Not sure why beer coasters were used, but I think it's just that they're in the shape of a W, as in "with," as in "name the star."

Hi Jon. I thought you had quit Tanga! Glad to see you back.

The "coasters" hint was a bad one. It turned out to be a play on "co-stars."

I am working on #16. I figured out the first step, I think I even figured out what the letters spell. But I can't find a word for the answer. I tried the obvious ones, and even misspelled them, but no.

I went with the old school expression, ______, ________, and ___________. Where the second two are spelled wrong.

Can I have another clue?

Didn't quit, except for quitting obsessing about it. Courtesy of the Tanga blog: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/140425 answers and explanations for the first 116 puzzles.

I blame not getting the 16th on my husband. I am a bad spelling and varified the word with him. Should have checked with Google instead.

Now I have it.
