Best Lines in Children's Books (I Feel a Contest Brewing)

I have another contest coming up quickly. Well, as quickly as I can figure out the exact rules. Once again, there will be Starbuck's gift cards on the line (get it? I feel a contest brewing?). Note the s in cards. Multiple prizes for this one.

And the end result will be some really cool reading, I hope.

For now, start thinking about your all-time favorite sentences and passages from children's and YA books. Maybe the funniest, the most poetic, the most poignant, maybe the most memorable.

As I mentioned, I have to figure out exactly what I want to do, and HOW, but I wanted to give you a head start. Stay tuned....

My absolute favorite is "I do solemnly swear I am up to no good" from "Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azakban."
